The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP), in New Delhi, India was established with the support of the Government of India and is an integral part of UNESCO. It is the first and only category 1 Research Institute in Asia Pacific and focuses on achieving the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.7 towards education to foster peaceful and sustainable societies.

The organization was formally formed in 2012, has its logo based on the idea of Gandhi Ji and was denoted with “the Charkha”. In 2021 we got the chance to relook at the logo. The idea is to make it simpler, more prominent and a unit that can be used seamlessly across various platforms and communication.
We made the logotype and the form as one intertwined unit. That added a lot of visual solidities and also helped it come across as simple and strong.
